Beckemeier Conservation Area

Olive Blvd & Tienda Dr
63017 Chesterfield , MO
Notes:

(August G) Beckemeier Conservation Area is a rustic 54 acres of wooded oasis located in Chesterfield, off of Olive Boulevard, between Spyglass Summit Drive and Old Riverwoods Lane.

The small, paved, six spot parking lot has no street name or address. Navigate to the general area by using closest intersection: Olive Blvd & Tienda Dr, Chesterfield MO 63017.

Becemeier CA contains a steep half-mile foot path thru the woods, down to a Missouri River overlook and back up again in a loop. There are a fair amount of trees and shrubs. The ground remains wet and can be soft and slippery. Ticks are reported to be a problem, in season.

Portions of the property were once a peacock farm. A home of the Beckemeier family was torn down in 2007. The trail opened to the public in 2008. The 54 acres were donated to the Missouri Department of Conservation in 1996 by Beckemeier's daughter, Minna Waldmann. It was originally 135 acres with a house, when Beckemeier bought it in 1905.
