Emmenegger Nature Park at 93 acres, is the largest park in the Kirkwood park system. Possom Woods Conservation Area, located adjacent to Emmenegger Nature Park, contains an additional 15 acres. The combination of the two areas totals approximately 108 acres. Features of the park are a picnic pavilion, restrooms, a paved nature trail, and numerous casual trails that explore the undeveloped portions of the park with beautiful views of the Meramec River.
Trails: Emmenegger Nature Park includes 1.5 miles of trails, part of which is a .5-mile accessible, paved trail. Disabled parking and year-round restroom facilities are available at the trailhead. — Plus various foot paths through the woods.
Directions: from eastbound I-44, take the Watson Road exit, and turn north on Geyer Road. Follow Geyer 200 yards to Cragwold Road and go one mile west before turning south on Stoneywood.
