Cliff Cave is located in south St. Louis County along the Mississippi River. Although it’s surrounded on three sides by subdivisions, the forested landscape 222 acre park has a relaxing secluded atmosphere. With its network of short trails, Cliff Cave is an excellent place for quick evening hikes. You will wander past sinkholes, a small lake, and admire the Mississippi River from a scenic bluff overlook.
ALERT: Cliff Cave is a river-bottom park that occasionally floods with the Spring rise of the Mississippi River. And, poison ivy can be bad in the summer.
Spring Valley Trail: 3 miles
Riverbluff Trail: 1 mile
Mississippi River Trail: 5.1 miles
Take I-270 South to I-255 East to Telegraph Road.
Turn Right onto Telegraph Road from I-255.
Travel South two miles on Telegraph Road to Cliff Cave Road.
Turn Left onto Cliff Cave Road from Telegraph Road.
Travel about one mile East to Park entrance.
The parking lot is at the bottom of the hill on the Right.
