Castlewood Park is divided by the Meramec River. It has hiking and mountain biking trails that range from great for first-time riders, to trails the most experienced rider will return to time after time. The park is considered one of the best mountain biking locations in the St. Louis area. Good fishing, broad meadows filled with wildlife, and plenty of recreational facilities make the park a favorite for people who want an adventure or just to get away.

Cedar Bluff Loop: 2.25 miles
Chubb Trail: 7 miles (located on the south side of the Meramec River)
Grotpeter Trail: 3.75 miles
Lone Wolf Trail: 1.5 miles
River Scene Trail: 3.25 miles
Stinging Nettle Trail: 2.5 miles
