A historic St. Louis City park with a 1.65 mile paved bicycle, walking path plus some nice gravel paths and lots of green space.
The park contains two lakes that are stocked for fishing; tennis courts, softball, baseball and soccer fields. The park also has playgrounds, a recycling center (with mulch and compost) and picnic areas. One of the most unique architectural features in Carondelet Park are the pergolas on Boathouse Lake. The pergolas are unique structures where one can sit and relax while fishing or just enjoying the day.
Directions: Carondelet Park is west of I-55, between Loughborough and Holly Hills in south St. Louis City. The fishing lake with a fountain in the middle and a pavilion on the hill is on Loughborough Drive (NOT Loughborough Avenue).
