Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park is a popular state park located in the Chesterfield valley area. Activities include: biking, hiking, nature study and wildlife viewing. Equestrian and hiking trails wind their way through the park’s narrow coves, deep sheltered valleys and towering forests. There are numerous picnic sites in the park.
Hunting: managed hunts are sometimes held in this park. Verify dates by calling or checking the website.
Dogwood Trail: 2 miles, loop, initial climb is steep for 2-3 minutes.
Woodbine Trail: 2 miles, loop. Dogwood and Woodbine Trails share a trailhead and can easily be combined to create a longer hike.
Hawthorne Trail: 1.25 miles, loop
Virginia Day Memorial Trail: 1.25 miles, loop
Equestrian Trail: 6 miles, loop
Paved Bicycle Path: 1.75 miles, linear
Directions: from I-44 take Exit 264 for Eureka and MO 109. Follow MO 109 for 8 miles north to MO BA/Babler Park Drive. Turn left on MO BA and drive 1 mile to the park entrance.
