File one e-postcard and one registration report per year
1) Missouri Secretary of State: file the Registration Report once per year.
The state of Missouri’s corporations page lists the general information for corporations.
Missouri Department of Revenue FAQ page asks this Question: “If I file a Federal Form 990, 990EZ, 990N, or 990PF, what do I file for Missouri?” Answer: Any corporation filing a Federal Form 990, 990EZ, 990N, or 990PF is NOT required to file a Missouri corporation income tax return and should not send a copy of the federal form to the (Missouri) Department of Revenue. 2) Federal IRS: file Form 990-N (e-postcard) annually for previous year.
Form 990-N is due every year by the 15th day of the 5th month after the close of your tax year. You cannot file the e-Postcard until after your tax year ends. The Clubs fiscal year starts April 1st.
Most small tax-exempt organizations whose annual gross receipts are normally $50,000 or less are required to electronically submit Form 990-N, also known as the e-Postcard, unless they choose to file a complete Form 990 or Form 990-EZ instead. IRS Publication 557 Tax Exempt Status for Your Organization discusses and answers the dollar amount required for tax filing, see page 11. (source)
Filing requirements: how to file, who must file, due date, the info needed, etc.
Nonprofits must verify their status to withdraw donations they receive (via PayPal). Users that are not verified (501c3) nonprofits, must demonstrate how their donations will be used, once they raise more than $10,000. (wasn’t sure where to file this info, so placed it here for reference).
